In Search of Suitably Qualified Consultants to Prepare an Integrated Master Plan for Belum-Temengor Tropical Rainforest

Northern Corridor Implementation Authority, (‘NCIA’) is mandated as the lead governmental agency tasked with the development and implementation of strategies for socioeconomic development within the Northern Corridor Economic Region.

In furtherance of the same, NCIA has identified Belum-Temengor Tropical Rainforest as an ecotourism destination in NCER. Belum-Temengor Tropical Rainforest is one of the oldest rainforest in the world and covers the area size of approximately 300,000 hectares, known for its rich bio-diversity, floral-fauna as well as numerous mammals’ species. NCIA is seeking to develop a detailed and aligned implementation framework to ensure a sustainably developed and protected Belum-Temengor.

To this end, NCIA would like to Request For Proposals (“RFP”) from qualified and technically astute consultants / parties to prepare an Integrated Master Plan for Belum-Temengor Tropical Rainforest on behalf of NCIA.
The objective of the RFP is to select a consultant with the relevant technical and industry experience to develop a comprehensive Integrated Master Plan for the conservation, management and sustainable development of the Belum-Temengor Tropical Rainforest.

All submission must be received by NCIA no later than 12 noon, Friday, 12 February 2010 addressed to the following:
