The Northern Corridor is a Government initiative to transform the economies of Perlis, Kedah, Penang and Perak; creating new industries, increasing value add from existing sectors and elevating the quality of human capital. The Northern Implementation Agency (NCIA) will spearhead large scale economic and social transformation programmes to positively impact the lives of more than 4 million Malaysians. While having a clear developmental agenda, the NCIA adopts private sector best practices to create an outstanding team, and work environment, that will passionately work towards achieving growth and equitable development. The NCIA will have operations in all 4 Northern Corridor Economic Region (NCER) states as well as Kuala Lumpur.

Agriculture Division
- Grow the agricultural sector by promoting domestic and foreign investments
- Design and implement programmes to improve agriculture productivity and smallholder capability
Manufacturing Division
- Promote growth in the manufacturing sector by courting international companies and promoting the move to higher value add segments
- Evaluate new manufacturing technologies for the purpose of establishing new business e.g., biotech and sustainable materials
Tourism Division
- Promote growth of the tourism sector by launching programmes to re-energise existing tourism destinations
- Plan and develop new tourist destinations and offerings e.g., eco-tourism and medical tourism
Infrastructure Division
- Manage physical infrastructure projects to improve connectivity of the NCER and strengthen the utilities infrastructure
Human Capital & Education Division
- Design and implement education and human capital development programmes to enable NCER’s school going children, graduates and workforce to be better equipped to participate in the economy
Marketing & Social Development Division
- Design and implement social assistance programmes to address the needs of disadvantaged sections of society
Corporate & Investor Services Division
- Process and facilitate project approvals from State and Federal Government authorities, as well as applications for financial and non-financial incentives
We are seeking candidates with degrees from renowned universities. Diverse work backgrounds are welcome, including exposure to the agriculture, manufacturing, tourism and education industry; as well as functional skills in project management, project implementation, business development, finance and business case evaluation.
