Fiscal Incentives
Provision of funding and fiscal incentives
Promoted manufacturing sub-sectors in the Northern Corridor will be eligible to apply for the NCER Manufacturing Industries Incentive package, consisting of fiscal incentives and venture capital funding. These incentives are targeted at encouraging companies to invest in new areas in the Region, such as biotech and agribusiness, and to encourage existing industries such as the E&E sector to move up the value chain. In addition to the standard list of incentives, special incentive packages can also be negotiated for large, strategic projects.
The fiscal incentives available in NCER are:
- Commercial Scale Agriculture Projects in NCER
- Seeds R&D Centre in Perlis
- Operator of the Premier Industrial Park in Kedah
