Promoting new crops

• Climatic advantages (distinct dry and wet season) in certain parts of the North, e.g. Perlis, is suitable for cultivation of fruits.
• Potatoes will also be cultivated for non-food uses (e.g. bio-plastics).
• The National Feedlot Centre in Gemas shall act as the nucleus and breeding source for young calves, to then create economically-sized feedlot systems at the village & district levels.

About

Malaysia Malaysia is a federation of thirteen states in Southeast Asia. The country consists of two geographical regions divided by the South China Sea.

Perlis Perlis is located to the north of Peninsular Malaysia, bordering with Thailand and the State of Kedah.

Kedah The State of Kedah is situated to the north of Peninsular Malaysia, bordering Thailand. Langkawi Island, a popular tourist destination is a part of the State of Kedah.

Pulau Pinang Pulau Pinang is located on the north-west coast of Peninsular Malaysia. She consists of an island and a coastal strip on the mainland known as Province Wellesley.

Perak The State of Perak is located in Peninsular Malaysia which encompass 21,005 km square and is the second-largest state in Peninsular Malaysia.
