Implementation Programmes
A number of programmes have been designed to encourage private-sector investment in the promoted sectors. These include provision of infrastructure, incentives and strengthening human capital.
The programmes to be implemented as part of the Northern Corridor initiative are as
follows:
- Provision of funding and incentives
- Establishment of Micro-Electronics Centre of Excellence
- Human capital development funding programme
- Privatisation of industrial and technology parks
- Providing an environment enabling accreditation to match international standards
These key programmes will be complemented by smaller initiatives targeted towards
specific sub-sectors.
