Last week, NCIA’s 𝐂𝐡𝐢𝐞𝐟 𝐄𝐱𝐞𝐜𝐮𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐄𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐤 𝐌𝐨𝐡𝐚𝐦𝐚𝐝 𝐇𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐬 𝐊𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐫 𝐒𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐚𝐧 spoke on the topic of ‘𝐖𝐚𝐥𝐤 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐓𝐚𝐥𝐤, 𝐓𝐚𝐥𝐤 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐖𝐚𝐥𝐤’ at the official opening of the 𝐇𝐚𝐫𝐢 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐠𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐢 & 𝐀𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐫𝐚𝐬𝐮𝐚𝐡 (𝐇𝐈𝐀𝐑) 𝐍𝐂𝐈𝐀 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟐 organised by the NCIA Governance team on 2 December 2022.

This inaugural event was hosted by the Integrity Department at NCIA HQ in Bukit Minyak, Penang to commemorate both the National Integrity Day as observed every 5th of November and the International Anti-Corruption Day on every 9th of December. The double celebration is celebrated to foster awareness among NCIA i-STARS of the inherent need to practice noble values & integrity while continuing to fight against corruption on an ongoing basis.

The event was also accompanied by a pre-recorded integrity message from the Chairman of the Audit Committee of NCIA, 𝐘𝐚𝐧𝐠 𝐌𝐮𝐥𝐢𝐚 𝐃𝐚𝐭𝐮𝐤 𝐓𝐞𝐧𝐠𝐤𝐮 𝐌𝐮𝐡𝐚𝐦𝐦𝐚𝐝 𝐓𝐚𝐮𝐟𝐢𝐤 𝐓𝐞𝐧𝐠𝐤𝐮 𝐊𝐚𝐦𝐚𝐝𝐣𝐚𝐣𝐚 𝐀𝐳𝐢𝐳, 𝐏𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭 & 𝐆𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐩 𝐂𝐡𝐢𝐞𝐟 𝐄𝐱𝐞𝐜𝐮𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐎𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐞𝐫 𝐨𝐟 𝐏𝐞𝐭𝐫𝐨𝐥𝐢𝐚𝐦 𝐍𝐚𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐁𝐡𝐝 (𝐏𝐄𝐓𝐑𝐎𝐍𝐀𝐒).

The programme aimed to provide an avenue for i-STARS to share and discuss with guest speaker 𝐘𝐁𝐡𝐠.𝐃𝐚𝐭𝐮𝐤 𝐃𝐫.𝐀𝐧𝐢𝐬 𝐘𝐮𝐬𝐚𝐥 𝐘𝐮𝐬𝐨𝐟𝐟 who gave a lecture beforehand entitled “𝐆𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐭 𝐭𝐨 𝐆𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐬𝐭: Why 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐧𝐞𝐞𝐝 𝐭𝐨 𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐝 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐠𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐲”. Datuk Dr Anis is also the former President & CEO of the Malaysian Institute of Integrity (IIM), Former Director General of the National Integrity and Good Governance Department (JITN), Former Deputy Director General of the National Centre for Governance, Integrity, and Anti-Corruption (GIACC) and now Principal Fellow at the Institute of Ethnic Studies (KITA), UKM.
